Straightening

A technique whereby a load is applied to a product, which is supported by anvils, to the point at which its deflection is beyond the amount that it was out of T.I.R./F.I.M. tolerance.

This method of straightening smaller items by hand, or more numerous and/or larger items with the assistance of pneumatic coupling, is performed using hammers.
